DAY 7: NINH BINH – HOA LU – TAM COC – MUA CAVE – NIGHT AT NINH BINH
Breakfast at hotel.
08.30: Get picked up at hotel for short drive to Tam Coc
Visit Tam Coc by taking 2-hour-boat trip (you will sit on a sampan boat with local rower). The boat trip is a nice journey along the Ngo Dong River with peaceful scenery of limestone mountains, rice paddy and the site of some temples along the way from Hang Ca (first cave) to Hang Hai (second cave) and Hang Ba (third cave).
You will be surprised by the charming beauty here with paddy fields, river, water, cloud, sky, and a stunning cave system during the boat trip. All make a masterpiece that the Vietnamese people called “Ha Long Bay on land”
Visit Bich Dong Pagoda is the most second beautiful pagoda of Vietnam, after Perfume Pagoda. It is a couple of kilometers north of Tam Coc. The Lower Pagoda is located at the foot of the outcrop, from which it’s a climb of about 100 steps to the Middle Pagoda, then a shorter but still steep ascent to the upper Pagoda.
12.00 – Have lunch at a local restaurant
Visit Hoa Lư ancient capital of Vietnam between 968 and 1010. In Hoa Lu, there are now 2 temples have been built on the ground of the old royal palace, one is dedicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang, the other is to King Le Dai Hanh. This visit offers a chance to know more about part of feudal dynasties in Vietnamese history, as well as the old feudal architecture of Vietnam Temples.
Visit Mua Cave (Dancing Cave). Walk up almost 500 steps, you can reach the top of Lying Dragon Mountain & have an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc from here.
CYCLING RIDE (optional): Those who love to explore real countryside images of Vietnam can proceed a 40-minute cycling ride along the country lane (from Tam Coc to Bich Dong Pagoda, estimated time 40 minutes for 5km cycling 2 ways), experiencing the beautiful scenery of lush paddy fields.
19.00 – Dinner at a local restaurant
