Day 1: Hanoi – Ba Be Lake | Ba Be National Park 3 Days Tour

0800 depart for the 6-hour drive to Ba Be Lake National Park. On the way, stop in Thai Nguyen to visit the fascinating Museum of the Culture of the Ethnic Minorities of Vietnam, where we can learn something about the culture and traditions of the different minority groups in Vietnam.

Lunch will be at a local restaurant and we continue on wards to Ba Be Lake. We arrive in Ba Be Lake in the afternoon, taking a walk around small villages and along the riverfront. The night is spent with a local family in the traditional house of a Tay family to experience their way of life.

Day 2: Ba Be Lake Boating | Ba Be National Park 3 Days Tour

8.30am After breakfast, your tour guide will take you on a boat trip. Don’t forget your camera because today is a chance for some more great shots. Traveling on our private boat we go through the entire length of the 3 connected lakes (Ba Be – “3 bays”) and up the Nang River, to an astonishing site, Dong Puong, an enormous cave (300m long by 30m high).

Following the visit to Puong Cave continue down the opposite end of Ba Be Lake to Dau Dang, here there are a series of spectacular cascading falls between sheer walls of rock. After visiting the falls head back to your guesthouse, the rest of the evening is at your leisure.

Day 3: Ba Be Lake – Hanoi | Ba Be National Park 3 Days Tour

After breakfast at the Homestay, take your time for walking around the village on your own, take photos of villagers going to farms with buffalo, children going to school or simply relaxing in the peaceful surroundings and enjoying the views.

Drive back to Hanoi stopping on the way either to visit Cho Da market (which runs on the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th & 30th days of the lunar calendar) or to take pictures and to admire the scenery.
