DAY 1: HANOI – VAN LONG – HOA LU – TRANG AN – NIGHT AT NINH BINH
8h00: Get picked up by our friendly guide then depart for Ninh Binh province.
10h00 arrive Van Long Natural Reserve which is the largest wetland nature reserve in the Northern Delta, located in Gia Vien District, Ninh Binh Province. Van Long Dam with a rich and unique ecosystem, is home to many flora and fauna, more than 40 species of langur buttocks.
Take one and a half hour rowing bamboo boat along this beautiful wetland of Van Long, enjoying spectacular scenery surrounded by rice paddies and towering limestone mountain peaks.
Head to Hoa Lu Ancient capital – In Hoa Lu, there are now 2 temples that have been built on the ground of the old royal palace, one is dedicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang, the other is to King Le Dai Hanh. This visit offers a chance to know more about part of feudal dynasties in Vietnamese history, as well as the old feudal architecture of Vietnam Temples.

After lunch visit Tràng An by doing 2 hours boat tour – which was recognized by UNESCO as The World Heritage Site in 2014. The scenery in Trang An Grottoes is very similar to Ha Long Bay such as high mountains are surrounded by vegetation areas and mantles of water. Do leisurely cycling (van available) in Tam Coc area to discover the life of locals, this is the best area for bikers who like to experience new lands with peaceful scenery, ride to Bich Dong pagoda nearby, and climb up the mountain to have a wonderful perspective view. Then to Mua Cave (Dancing Cave). Walk up almost 500 steps, you can reach the top of Lying Dragon Mountain & have an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc from here.

Phat Diem Stone Cathedral is one of the most famous and beautiful churches in Vietnam with special architecture: an elegant combination between Western church architecture style and Vietnamese religious buildings.
It took 24 years to build this church from 1875 to 1898. And as its name suggests, it was completely built of stone and wood that are readily available in the mountain area of Ninh Binh. The preparation phase, mainly extracting materials from limestone mountains, took the locals as many as 10 years to finish.
