HALF DAY TOUR TO MY SON SANCTUARY
My Son Sanctuary – UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a great sample of the ancient Cham Pa civilization around the 2nd to the 17th century located in the southern part of Vietnam. It was a political center and a royal burial ground and the complex consists of more than 70 structures with many beautiful stone sculptures, temples and towers in tropical jungle surroundings devoted to Hindu gods and goddesses and the most noticeable one, Shiva, was considered the protector of the Cham Pa’s kings. Their skillful use of red bricks and sandstone is remarkable.
Morning Tour
07:30 – 08.00: We will pick you up at the hotel in Da Nang / Hoi An, and then we go to visit My Son Sanctuary – one of World’s Heritage Sites
09:15 Arrive at My Son Sanctuary. After check-in, the electric car will transfer you for a distance, and you will have 2 hours to discover the site by walking through the landscape, exploring Champa cultures and the remaining structures with our local English-speaking guide, and enjoying the Champa’s traditional performances (Apsara Dance).
11:30 Get back to the minivan and move to a local house to learn how to make rice paper; you will enjoy your own hand-made product later!
12:30 Back to the van and have lunch at another local house with nice local foods—real Vietnamese lunch.
13:30 -14:00 The tour guide and driver will take you back to Danang City and drop you off at your hotel.
