Quang Phu Cau Village is about 35 kilometers from the center of Hanoi, the village is situated in Quang Phu Cau commune, Ung Hoa district. Quang Phu Cau has been known for making traditional incense sticks for the past over a century.
Bat Trang Pottery Village is located on the bank of the Red River, in Gia Lam District, Hanoi (14km from center). Bat Trang, traditional porcelain and pottery village with history of seven centuries, is an interesting attraction in Hanoi that tourists should put on their list.

8.30 am pick up at hotel, starts your private day tour to Quang Phu Cau and Bat Trang Village from Hanoi – arriving in Quang Phu Cau Incense Village at around 09.30 am. By this time, the villagers have already set out incense to dry in various formations, and we’ll get pictures of people working among this sea of red.
We also venture further into the village workshops, shooting images of the incense-making process, including bamboo chopping, dipping the sticks in dye, and the creation of incense paste.
A visit to Quang Phu Cau Incense Village will bring visitors an opportunity to learn about the traditional craft of making incense sticks and take lots of unique check-in photos. Right after you enter the incense village, you’ll be able to see the busy lives of the locals here.
Have lunch at a local restaurant
After lunch, we will keep moving on to Bat Trang Ceramic Village, the most famous and long-standing pottery village in Vietnam with a nearly 1,000 years old historic development. The Village is located on the bank of the Red River, only 14 kilometers away from Hanoi city center.
On arrival at the village, we will visit Bat Trang Communal House, which was built under Le Du Tong King’s period, from 1719 to 1720.
You will visit a small family factory to see how the artisans form, paint and glaze with unique products made by skillful hands of the artists in harmony with the soil’s spirit.
Take a soft walking tour around the village to learn more about the making process of pottery products. Make a stop at the biggest ceramic market where you can do some shopping for a unique gift. If you wish, you can try your hands in making your own ceramic products, something for the beginners such as cup, bowl or flower vases. (excluded in the tour fee)
