– Mai Chau: Located down in fertile Mai Chau valley are beautiful villages of the White Thai people, doing a trek or cycling through the villages are things to do in Mai Chau.
– Moc Chau: Moc Chau is a large, mountainous district of the Son La province, about 200 kilometers west of Hanoi. It is a great place when you are planning to visit Mai Chau from Hanoi.
– Mu Cang Chai: Mu Cang Chai is a highland district of the Northern Yen Bai Province. The district lies at the foot of Hoang Lien Son mountain range, 1,000 m above sea level. To reach Mu Cang Chai district, go through Khau Pha pass – one of the four Great Passes of the Northwest. Mu Cang Chai has located about 280 km from Hanoi.
– Sapa: a French Hill Station, doing a trek to remote villages, discover and delighted with local ethnic minorities. Well-known for rice paddies which attract tourist from very first step to this land.

DAY 1: HANOI – MAI CHAU – LAC VILLAGE – NIGHT AT MAI CHAU
7.30 am – pick up at hotel (in Hanoi city center) 3 hours drive to Mai Chau. Mai Chau is home to the White Thai ethnic group, a group distantly related to those in Laos and China. White Thai people own special cultural customs and unique farming techniques. This is a great place to enjoy the natural beauty and observe traditions and they are well preserved.
Stop at the local market of the Muong Ethnic Minority; enjoy the beautiful scenery of Thung Khe Pass (One of the 10 most beautiful passes in Vietnam).
Arrive in the picturesque Mai Chau Valley surrounded by spectacular karst rock formations and rice paddies.
Enjoy lunch with delicious local foods.

DAY 2: MAI CHAU – MOC CHAU – NGHIA LO – NIGHT AT NGHIA LO
After breakfast, drive up higher towards Nghia Lo via Moc Chau highland. Some stop on the way for photos and visiting hill tribe villages of Hmong and Thai people. Moc Chau Plateau is one of the most famous destinations of the northwest region for tourists owing to its cool climate almost all year round
Visit Bach Long Pedestrian Bridge – A 632-meter-long glass bridge in northern highlands town Moc Chau, said to be the world’s longest. Bach Long Bridge offers impressive panoramic views of spectacular mountain landscape. While looking down from the glass bridge, visitors will be thrilled with the view of a 150m deep.

After lunch we will continue our road trip toward Nghia Lo
Pay a visit to the Heart-Shaped Tea Hill – located in On village, a small village of Nong Truong town in Moc Chau district, Son La Province, The tea hills are artificial products created by the skillful hands of the highland people. They are the symbol of vitality and love, bringing an unforgettable impression to visitors.
We will cross the Black River (Da River) and pass the little town of Phu Yen, Van Chan before you get to Nghia Lo. This off- beaten-track provides you stunning sceneries as well as spectacular view of local life.

DAY 3: NGHIA LO – MU CANG CHAI – O QUY HO PASS – SAPA – NIGHT AT SAPA

08.00 – pick up at hotel departs toward Mu Cang Chai – enjoy spectacular view of mountain and terraces from the Khau Pha Pass and then take a hike around the famous Mu Cang Chai valley for sightseeing of terraces and local life and take for you some best photos.
Visit “Mam Xoi” (Tray of sticky rice) hill in La Pan Tan – Mu Cang Chai is one of the places with the most beautiful terraced fields in Mu Cang Chai, especially when the rice is ripe. This is also a destination that attracts a lot of tourists to check-in when coming to Mu Cang Chai.
Have lunch at a local restaurant
After lunch, we depart to Sapa – old town with its remnants of the French colonial era. On the way, you will be admired the beauty of O Quy Ho pass (famous pass of the North Vietnam).
Keep driving along the mountain road on the edge of the Hoang Lien National park and up for the great view from Heaven Gate, the highest pass in Vietnam at the elevation of 2000m. Visit the Silver waterfall then drive downhill to Sapa.
Drive down to the south east of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa valley dotting remote hill tribe villages such as Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai village of Hmong peole, Ta Van of Dzay people, the villages surrounded by stunning rice terraces.

DAY 4: TREKKING TA VAN – GIANG TA CHAI – SAPA – NIGHT AT SAPA
After wonderful breakfast prepared by the hosts.
09.00 – We will start the day by a trek through a bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai, a Red Dao ethnic minority village. Take a rest nearby a waterfall to refresh. Then start climbing uphill to a road where the car is ready for your journey back to Sapa.
Trekking Sapa is the best way to see the countryside of this town. During a trek, you will navigate the hills and mountains to see the beautiful landscape of rice paddies and the traditional villages in Sapa.
Arrive back to Sapa town around noon

Optional: Visit Fansipan Mountain by taking cable car is also worth if the weather is nice.
When it comes to Sapa, there is a huge miss to not visit Fansipan – the highest mountain in Indochina at 3.143m above sea level – with the nickname “ Roof of Indochina”. Thanks to the Sun world Fansipan Legend Cable Car system, it only takes 20-30 minutes to get the roof of Indochina instead of trekking from 2-3 days like before, making Fansipan reachable by everyone yet saving time to explore interesting things around.
DAY 5: SAPA – TA PHIN VILLAGE – HANOI – TOUR ENDS

Take the morning trip to Ta Phin village – Ta Phin village is one of attractions in Sapa should not be ignored when visiting this land. Ta Phin is nestled in a beautiful and pristine valley, around 15 kilometers in the northeast of Sapa. This is a village of “Dao Do” ethnic group.
Visiting Ta Phin, tourist can catch images of Dao Do women in very beautiful and colorful dress made from brocade, a traditionally hand-made product of local people here.
Have lunch at a local restaurant in Ta Phin
After lunch we will take a wonderful drive to Hanoi. This journey will take about 6-hours on a newly built free way along the Red River. Take your time to enjoy stunning landscape along the way.
With the Hanoi – Lao Cai expressway, the time to Sapa is shortened to 4-5 hours, making your journey faster, safer and much more comfortable than by train.
You can travel any time with the utmost flexibility that train cannot offer. Especially the scenes at two roadsides are really attractive with lots of chances to see daily life of farmers working on the fields.
Arrive back in Hanoi late in the afternoon for check in hotel.
