In the evening, a dinner out to taste local authentic Vietnamese Cuisine, followed by the water puppet show – a fantastic art form, unique to Vietnam and best seen in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi city tour | Vietnam Essentials 10 Days Tour

Vietnam Essentials 10 Days TourYou’ll have your breakfast at the hotel and then the local tour guide will pick you up to take you into insight the capital city of Vietnam.

Start your journey to the highlights and hidden gems of Hanoi at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, an imposing structure housing the remains of the revered former president. Then, explore the Temple of Literature. In 1076 Quoc Tu Giam – Vietnam’s first university also referred to as Van Mieu, was established within a temple to educate Vietnam’s royalty, mandarins and members of the elite.

After lunch you can go to Museum of Ethnology (closed on Monday) where you observe Vietnam’s diverse culture through the Museum’s unique presentation of artifacts and dress used in daily life.

This afternoon you will get transfer through Red River delta land to Ha Long city. Check in hotel and the remainder of the day is to explore the town as well as to enjoy the sand sea breeze from on the beach.

Day 3: Visit Halong Bay | Vietnam Essentials 10 Days Tour

Vietnam Essentials 10 Days TourWelcomed by the crew and starting to explore the Bay of Halong “descending dragons”. You are going to have about 4 hours cruise on the Bay, short time but you will see the best part of Halong Bay. The captain will sail you around rocky islands and emerald serene water. Visit a landing cave named Thien Cung (Heaven Palace), one of the biggest caves in the bay. The cave was founded by a local fisher man and renovated with walking paths and light for tourist but still quite many steps up and down so make sure that you are willing for this challenge.

After the cave you get back to your boat for having lunch with fresh sea food (for those who can’t eat sea food will be replaced by other food but please inform your guide before departure).

While having lunch, make sure your camera is on the table with full battery because there are thousands of spectacular islands that you don’t want to be missed such as Incense Burner island, Finger island, Duck island, Turtle island, and especially the Fighting Cocks island that chosen to be the symbol of Halong Bay.

In the afternoon you will get transfer to Noi Bai airport near Hanoi for a flight to Hue. Get transferred downtown Hue to check in hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Vietnam Essentials 10 Days TourTake scenic drive to Hoi An Town with stops at spectacular beach of Lang Co, the Hai Van mountain peak for a great panorama view and visits to Danang’s Cham Museum and Marble Mountains.

Hoi An, a little ancient town nestled on the banks of the Thu Bon River is one of the World Heritages in the country. Before the river silted up, Hoi An was one of the most important trading ports in Southeast Asia. Over the years, merchant ships from both the East and the West docked in Hoi An, making it hustle commercial centre. For now, Hoi An’s architecture, lifestyle and atmosphere is well preserved and combined to produce this unique heritage site. It’s also a shopping paradise – with much to browse and buy.

In the afternoon you will enjoy a walking tour through the Hoi An ancient quarter. Visit Hoi An Centre market, temples, assembly halls, museum, ancient houses and take a stroll along the waterfront area where local activities take place.

The rest of the day is free to enjoy your own pace and perhaps indulge with some fantastic shopping.

Vietnam Essentials 10 Days TourCome to Hoi An old quarter, you will explore the following: Tan Ky ancient house, Phuc Kien Assembly hall, History and Cultural museum, Japanese Covered Bridge, Folklore Museum, Thang Loi handicraft silk factory.

We then visit Hoi An vibrant market and ancient port to explore local daily life and savor the true color, flavor and taste of the oriental. Finally, we visit Phuc Thanh Pagoda – the oldest pagoda in Hoi An built in 1454 with Chinese bonze. Have lunch in the local restaurant with signature specialties of Hoi An: the Cao Lau noodle and White Rose dumpling.

After lunch we will drive to My Son, a World Heritage, 50 km southwest of Hoi An. Located in a lush valley, My Son was a capital and religious center of Cham people, now remaining with red brick towers and sanctuaries. My Son is considered as the same league as some of Southeast Asia’s greatest archaeological sites, including Angkor in Cambodia, Bagan in Myanmar, Ayutthaya in Thailand and Borobudur in Indonesia. These towers and sanctuaries were built from the 7 to 13 centuries.

Vietnam Essentials 10 Days TourTransfer to Da Nang airport for a morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City, the metropolis of the South. Start visit the city by heading to Chinatown and wandering through the fascinating back streets near Cho Lon (Big Market) – formal name is Binh Tay Market. This area is one of the busiest commercial districts of Ho Chi Minh City and its atmospheric streets are home to some of the city’s most interesting sites.

From there, we’ll pay a visit to Thien Hau Temple, which was built in the early 19th century and dedicated to the goddess of seafarers. You will continue your visit to the War Remnants Museum formerly known as the Museum of American War Crime, this is a poignant display of the futility of war.

Have lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and the General Post Office. Stroll along Dong Khoi street, see the Opera House and the Peoples’ Committee building built in 1897 by French architect Ferret Eugene, the 800 seat Opera House was used as the home of the Lower House Assembly of South Vietnam after 1956, continue to visit The Reunification Palace (Ex-Presidential Palace) which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975.

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong | Vietnam Essentials 10 Days Tour

Vietnam Essentials 10 Days TourDepart from Ho Chi Minh City around 8.00 am, we head to Mekong Delta, the land of nine dragons. Getting out of the city, you will see the mighty delta with its quaint rural landscape and immense waterway. It takes nearly two hours drive from HCM to Cai Be.

Start your journey by passing by Cai Be’s floating market, once a busy place to trade fruits and vegetables and nowadays a more quiet market. Then the amazing rowing boat trip on the small canal – fully covered by the shadow of the water coconut’s tree and cool breezes is something you cannot miss. Lunch will be served right in the heart of the orchard garden.

In the afternoon we will walk into the village, visit fruit garden, enjoy the tropical fruit while you are listening to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music” performed by the islanders. Here we also can join the daily activities of the local people and enjoy the atmosphere of this beautiful natural countryside.

Here you’ll take in traditional sights such as rice barges, wooden ship building yards and even fruit drying along the Mekong’s banks. After paying visit to the colorful floating market we will get back our boat for brunch then check-out and disembark before the return to Ho Chi Minh City
