TOUR OVERVIEW:

• My Son Sanctuary – UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a great sample of the ancient Cham Pa civilization around the 2nd to the 17th century located in the southern part of Vietnam. It was a political center and a royal burial ground and the complex consists of more than 70 structures with many beautiful stone sculptures, temples and towers in tropical jungle surroundings devoted to Hindu gods and goddesses and the most noticeable one, Shiva, was considered the protector of the Cham Pa’s kings. Their skillful use of red bricks and sandstone is remarkable.

DETAILED TOUR ITINERARY

7:30am – 8:15am – Driver and Tour guide will pick you up from hotel in Da Nang city or Hoi An city and warmly welcome you to the My Son Sanctuary Tour (70km from Da Nang city).

On the journey, let’s enjoy the views of the countryside and the daily life of the local people. Tour guide will introduce with you about local culture and the beautiful of Vietnamese country before arriving at My Son Sanctuary.

9:30am – Electronic car will pick you up from My Son gate to My Son Sanctuary area. But, you take a stroll to walk 500mtropical jungle surroundings to get My Son area center. It’s a remarkable architectural ensemble that developed ten centuries ago.

There are many stories about the formation & development as well as a lot of Cham Pa’s legends,  the tour guide will introduce and explain for you about most of everything. It’s extremely interesting and knowledgeable history and information.

Cham Pa Art of Architecture – influenced by Indian style still remain many big questions to the scientists. Bricks are main material for the construction of the Cham Towers. However, it has yet been unable to figure out the reasonable explanation for the linking material, brick baking method, and construction method at My Son Sanctuary. Even these days, this still remains as an attractive secret to tourists.

In some Vietnamese holiday and celebration, you have chance to see the Cham Pa live show with Cham Pa traditional dance at My Son Sanctuary.

12:00pm – Leave My Son Holy land, we take the boat and ride along the poetic Thu Bon River to return to Hoi An Ancient Town.

1:00pm – Enjoy the lunch (2 options – one is before taking the boat at My Son, two is at Hoi An city)

2:30pm – Return to Da Nang city

3:00pm – 3:30pm – Drop off at your hotel.
